So What Does Sky Blue Do?

Once Sky Blue receives your credit reports they look over each item to find the ones that are hurting your credit score.  They could be bills that are reported late even thought you’ve paid them, items that were accidentally placed on your report, or a wide variety of other items.

Once Sky Blue has reviewed your reports and identified these items they begin the process of disputing them. Unless the creditor can prove that they are accurate the disputed item must be removed.  Getting rid of these inaccurate items will boost your credit score. While they are taking care of these items Sky Blue will also assist you by providing credit counseling so that you can start building better credit habits.  They will also help you identify and meet lender requirements if you are looking to get a loan.

My Results With Sky Blue

In total I worked with Sky Blue for 7 months. While this may seem like a while you have to realize that this process can be quite slow at times whether you do it yourself or have a credit repair service do it for you.  The main reason that I decided to use a credit repair company was that I know myself and I tend to put things off. No matter how you chose to deal with your credit issues you have to stick with it or you won’t see results.

After the 7 month period I noticed a significant jump in my credit scores.  At the start my scores averaged in mid 500s, by the end of my time with Sky Blue I had average scores around 680.  This made a huge difference for me and I was able to get a new car without a co-signer.  That alone made the whole process worth it.

I stopped working with Sky Blue because by the end there were no more items to dispute.  From here on out I need to work on keeping my payments on time.  I’ve also learned to order my credit reports on a regular basis and read them carefully.  In the future I think that I could take care of any disputes myself.

How Much Does It Cost?

The fact that the service is quite affordable was another reason I decided to use Sky Blue.  Here’s what the service costs:

Setup Fee – $49 – This is charged 6 days after you signup.  This gives Sky Blue a chance to review your credit reports and outline what they can do for you.  This way if there is nothing to dispute you’re not out $49.

Monthly Fee – $49 – The monthly fee is charged one month after you pay your setup fee and each month thereafter. The setup fee is basically the charge for the first month so it’s not like you pay double the first month.

- There are not different tiers or levels of service like many of the other credit repair companies I looked at.  This plan includes everything Sky Blue offers.

- They offer a couples discount.  If your partner signs up they pay half the normal monthly fee.

- There is no contract, you pay month-to-month and you can cancel the service at any time.

Overall I am very happy with the service Sky Blue credit repair provided.  The staff was easy to communicate with both on the phone and by email.  They were happy to answer the questions that I had.

Of course the most important factor was that they did improve my credit by around 130 points.  Trust me this makes a huge difference.
