Lexington Law Review – The Biggest and the Best?By
There are many credit repair companies who are available to help a person repair and rebuild their credit. Lexington Law Firm has the added advantage of being well versed in the laws regarding consumers and credit repair. With over 400 paralegals and 22 lawyers in 16 states, they not only have the knowledge base required to successfully remove negative items on a person’s credit report, but they have the extra bonus of tackling each case with legal expertise to back them up.
Their reputation and A+ BBB rating only attests to the fact that they know what they are doing. They are registered with the attorney general in several states, bonded, and licensed. They are unarguably one of the biggest companies offering credit repair services in the US.
Lexington Law offers three levels of service. After the initial $99.95 set-up fee, clients can choose from monthly plans beginning with the basic plan at $49.95, the Concord Standard Plan at $69.95, or the Concord Premium Plan at $89.95.
Depending on how much a client wishes to tackle with Lexington, each plan offers the basic unlimited disputes, free support, no hidden costs and a refund policy. The more expensive plans offer additional features such as identity theft protection, debt validation, escalated information requests, and goodwill interventions when required.
What About The Extra Services?
Goodwill Intervention – this service provides their clients with interventions with companies who have charged questionable late fees.
Debt Validation – this service deals with collection accounts, requiring a complete account of the negative listing or complete removal from the client’s credit report.
Escalated Information requests – clients are provided with additional documentation from creditors, which must show that consumer protection status is being complied with, or that the listing is changed on the client’s report.
Report Watch – provides clients with a monthly report on any changes to the credit report, whether that change is negative or positive.
Monthly Score Analysis – this is an evaluation of the 5 main factors that impact a client’s credit score, in addition providing them with tips to help increase their score.
Inquiry Assist – clients are provided with letters for a wide variety of inquiries, which they can use to question items on their credit report.
There were a number of complaints against Lexington Law Firm in the last year due to clients who were billed after they had cancelled the service, but it is important to note that Lexington Law does not charge for services until the work has been completed, which could explain an overlap in fees being charged after a cancellation.
Each client is assigned two to three personal account reps to their account. Upon sign-up the client will be provided with an improvement analysis, which details on how they will work with the client to improve their score. This information includes payment history, debts, length of credit, and new credit.
It is easy for clients to contact customer support, either through Lexington’s phone number, or online, where they have also supplied a very thorough FAQ section for common questions and answers. The website is very well protected with firewalls for privacy protection, and they even feature video tutorials on credit repair. Clients are encouraged to be proactive.
